At BFiT we prioritise the health and safety of our members and staff, and as such the mandatory practices below have been implemented, and will remain in effect until further notice. These protocols will continue to evolve as the COVID-19 situation changes, and we have a better understanding of the guidelines provided by the authorities.

We ask if you are not feeling well and are experiencing any symptoms that may be related to COVID-19, that you stay home and follow the guidelines provided by the authorities. The health and safety of our members and staff is our number one priority.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us at any time.

Protocols, procedures and preventive measures:

We have developed an enhanced cleanliness, sanitation and operation plan that consists of added precautionary measures through all aspects of the facility and incorporates the experience of both our staff and members.

Members' Health:

Antibacterial and hand sanitising stations will be conveniently placed throughout the facility. We ask that all members utilise prior to entering, while in the facility as necessary, and when leaving the facility.

It is important to be mindful and follow the health and hygiene protocols such as sanitising and hand washing.

Employee Protocols:

All team members will be receiving training on our enhanced protocols. Coaches and admin will also be observing members for any symptoms and will be required to wear the appropriate PPE (personal protective equipment) based on their roles and responsibilities. Each group work out session is coach lead. The coaches therefore will have access to face shields and will wear when required.

Cleaning Protocols and Sanitation:

Prior to reopening, the facility was deep cleaned using cleaning products that meet guidelines and are approved for use and are effective. Additionally, there is increased frequency of daily cleaning, disinfecting of all common areas and public spaces with an emphasis on high contact surfaces such as the reception counter, door handles, bathrooms, seating areas, floor mats and gym equipment.

Physical Distancing:

Members will be instructed to practice physical distancing by standing six feet away from each other, this includes while waiting to attend a work out session and during a workout session. The facility will have visible floor markings to allow for increased spacing as well outlining redesigned layouts for workouts and the placement of equipment. All members will be required to utilize a booking app (WODIFY) that will allow members to book their time for workouts on a daily basis. This app will be programmed to limit the amount of people attending a work out session and providing control over the number of members in the facility at any one time.

Members Experience:

Floor/Yoga mats will no longer be available for shared use. We ask that all members bring their own mat and a large enough towel.

Physical distancing throughout the facility and the immediate surroundings will be enforced. Maintaining a strict distance from all other members in particular when waiting outside the gym. Gathering or sitting inside the gym prior to the start of a session will no longer be permitted.

Athletes will have their own space when working out .

Athletes will have their own equipment and specific station (we will no longer share equipment during a session).

Athletes will be expected to wipe down equipment used after a session if required and put away their equipment before leaving.

Prior to entering the gym non-invasive temperature checks will be administered as well the soles of your shoes sprayed with an alcohol solution.

The 2nd floor of the facility (upstairs) will be utilized for Kickboxing, stretching and will be the new home for the rowers & Assault Bikes. Cleaning protocols outlined earlier will apply in all areas of the facility once equipment has been used.
